Join Claire in a long weekend of a yoga and meditation; the yoga sessions will be intertwined with themes and intentions to thread through the weekend. There will be at least one gong and sound therapy session offered. The daily programme is balanced with plenty of time to relax as you wish; a Swedish sauna, a walk around the stunning Welsh countryside, a dip in the open lake (if you dare!), just ‘be’ in one of the cosy sitting rooms to read or chat and that is all on top of 3 delicious meals prepared by the incredible cook who sources all the ingredients locally.
Claire is continually considering how yoga affects our lives in so many ways, and brings these intentions onto the mat in her own practice and wholeheartedly into her teaching. Her desire is that everyone can benefit greatly from their own yoga practice; from moving well, breathing well and from receiving some of the ideas from deeper yoga philosophy trickle into their practice. Her teaching style is a combination of the strong Hatha training received during her level 4 certification/300hr TT with the BWY (British Wheel of Yoga) and her love of movement and vinyasa yoga. Claire originally trained in Freestyle Fitness Yoga with Jayne Nicholls (founder of Group X Training) after qualifying as an aerobics instructor, gaining her level 2 in Fitness to Music many years before. Claire continually seeks to further her own education and has just completed a 30 hour training course in ‘The Art of Assisting’ with Janet Strong.
Claire has a growing interest in yoga philosophy and traditional teachings and often threads ideas from this study throughout her class development. She takes great pleasure in seeing how yoga can deeply change peoples’ lives. Witnessing her students grow in confidence and develop an understanding of self-care is what helps Claire strive to keep searching for fresh ways to inspire her students within their yoga practice and journey.
