We are delighted to welcome Carol back to this wonderful venue in beautiful mid-Wales for another popular and special four-night New Year Retreat.
Come home to your soul and feel inspired to take a deep inner journey with Carol’s experienced and inspirational teaching. Immerse yourself in truly magical natural landscape, rolling hills, distant views and woodlands. Reset your intentions for the coming year, take time to assess where you have come from and where you are going – or simply spoil yourself on a relaxing break.
A perfect location for a mid-winter retreat, the spacious converted barns nestle at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains on the long distance Glyndwr walking trail. You will benefit from a nurturing connection with the natural world, while warm under-floor heating, cosy log fires and a Finnish sauna will make sure you are toasty and warm when you return from those brisk walks with roses in your cheeks…
Just over three hours by train from London, and two from Manchester and Birmingham, yet it is a world away, deep in the heart of rural mid-Wales. The last couple of hours of travel are through the most beautiful scenic countryside, so whether arriving by train or driving, the trip is definitely part of the pleasure…
Supporting Carol’s inspirational teaching, you will be cared for by Jane and Rowan of Huzur Vadisi, who have years of experience in providing warm, welcoming and smooth running retreats with fabulous food – three nourishing and delicious vegetarian meals a day are included.
The Celebrate and Elevate Retreat – including the beautiful, comfortable and well appointed venue, the uplifting teaching programme, the level of care and attention, the delicious meals – are all designed to support you in exploring your yoga practice, and will enable you to relax and restore while enjoying the convivial company of like-minded souls…
Carol is a senior and well respected teacher, who lives and teaches regular retreats and classes on the Isle of Wight. Specialising in retreats around the world for over twenty years, she is a master in creating and holding a safe and loving environment and her retreats are a perfect fusion of all aspects of the practice. Her love of mantra and dance is infectious, as is her love of life.
Her teaching path has evolved over twenty-five years and as a mature yogini she offers emotionally intelligent, inspiring and creative sessions. She understands perfectly the needs of every individual and the clarity she brings through her creative approach to yoga offers participants the opportunity to deeply reflect, whilst at the same time always maintaining what she considers to be of upmost importance, both in life and whilst on the mat… humility, love and a sense of humour. Although originally trained through the lineage of Sivinanda, her own path has danced her through a rich tapestry of styles and teachers, for which she is deeply grateful, but her heart is held in the Tantra path of Advaita Vedanta and her teacher for the past twenty years, Clive Sheridan, with whom she shares a deep love, respect and devotion.
A message from Carol
‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to host another retreat with the Huzur Vadisi team at this wonderful venue in Wales. New Year is such a magical time for creating positive affirmations and setting new intentions for the year ahead and more importantly letting go of numbing habits and long held patterns and ways of being This retreat will allow us to experience a gentle yoga detox, a deep healing journey inwards, through the many aspects of the practice and an opportunity to celebrate in a very different way. Sharing together in Sangha is one of the most precious gifts that we can bestow upon ourselves and others It is my promise to you, that you will leave this retreat feeling stronger, lighter, healthier and more connected to your true nature and your purpose than ever before, returning to your daily lives with integrity and joy. Sat Nam, Carol’
