What people have said about Huzur Vadisi

‘I would just like to say the whole team there were incredible. Tanfer was brilliant from start to finish, Ian led us on a fantastic hike and was so knowledgeable and Cagatay was so lovely and helpful with everything too! It was magical and the whole place is a true testament to all of your love and creativity. It is a truly special place, well done!’

“What a joy it was to return to Huzur Vadisi after 18 years and to find it even better than before. I did a week yoga course with Simon Low which was (of course) brilliant. But it was enhanced enormously by this fabulous place. The food was sensational and much of it home grown. The yurts a delight. The yoga shala just beautiful. The pool very welcome and Tanfer, the owner, just one of the most gentle, kind, considerate men I’ve ever met. I will return.” 12th July 2019

“I think the venue is one of the most wonderful places I’ve ever visited. It offers the most perfect escape from everyday life surrounded by wonderful plants, trees and animals. The yurts are comfortable and spacious and falling asleep to the sounds of wildlife outside was incredible; an utter release from the stresses of everyday life in London. As a group we had the chance to spend time with Tanfer and his family who were truly welcoming. For me it truly felt like being in a relaxed homestay or visiting with friends. I also have to say the food at Huzur Vadisi is amazing; fresh, healthy and delicious. Every day we had lovingly-prepared vegetarian dishes; this nutritious food really complemented the physical nature of the holiday; I felt energised and focused on my yoga practice as a result. I came away uplifted by the kindness, generosity and warmth of the whole experience. This was a memorable holiday for me and one I would never hesitate to recommend. I purchased the Huzur Vadisi cookbook to bring a little reminder home with me! The sound of the cicadas and the warmth of the breeze through the valley will remain with me for some time to come.” Rob Williams

“Huzur Vadisi is a very special place. It’s nestled up in the mountains in a beautiful valley that gives the full experience of nature. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of humanity, so it’s a proper retreat site where you can get away, become quiet and experience peacefulness and a deep contentment that comes when you slow down and take the time to be in nature and with yourself. It’s perfect for yoga practices and personal reflection. The staff are professional and really take care of you. And the food is fresh and delicious and bountiful. I look forward every year to immersing myself in Huzur Vadisi’s peaceful splendour and experiencing its rejuvenating atmosphere” Anna Ashby

‘Huzur Vadisi is one of those rare jewels that you want to keep secret but don’t because you’d feel too selfish. Idyllic, nestled in the most beautiful scenery, the hospitality is unequalled and the food worth the trip in itself. If you want peace and quiet, real nature, real food and real people, Huzur Vadisi is for you.’
Michele Pernetta, Fierce Grace Yoga. London

‘Huzur Vadisi is my favourite yoga holiday destination and many of my students return as often as I do. The facilities are unique, the valley peaceful, the food excellent, the staff helpful and friendly.’
Simon Low – The Yoga Academy.

‘A perfect balance between rusticity and comfort, it’s easy to see the hand of the artist at work – the vibrant colours in the furnishings and rugs, the beautiful hand painted soap dishes, the stained glass in the bathroom – all the little touches that make a difference. You have perfectly enhanced the magic of this beautiful valley.’ Elizabeth Watkins
