On this special retreat you will have the opportunity to deeply relax and restore your inner balance, vital energy and at the same time increase your awareness of your body and its ability though the combined benefits of yoga and sound therapy.

The day will begin with meditation enhanced by singing bowl sound sessions to take you deeply into relaxation. Tanfer will then lead the yoga session on to general warming up sequences followed by sun salutations and into the dynamic yang class of Asanas. The morning classes will work with alignment based instruction combined with correct breathing.  Afternoon classes will be restorative Yin Yoga. The culmination of each class will be savasana relaxation enhanced by singing bowl sessions.

Sound is one of the oldest and most natural forms of healing, using the power of sound to restore one’s mind, body and spirit back to a state of balance. The harmonic vibrations from the instruments have a deep penetrating effect on the receiver, promoting healing and well-being.  Most people fall into a state of deep relaxation, a pathway to meditation. The sounds act as the focal point, reducing and eliminating mind chatter, leading to a release of deep rooted tensions and emotional blocks. It is the perfect compliment to the benefits of yoga. There will be singing bowl and crystal bowl sound healing and meditation sessions throughout the week.

Included in the retreat is also one personal Tibetan Sound Massage. This is received clothed and lying down. Singing bowls are set on the body and played gently. Playing creates harmonic sound vibration – the body, mind and soul can let go of tensions, worries and the rush of everyday life. In this way it’s possible to make room for developing and recognising the healing powers of the body.

The retreat will be conducted in English and all levels of yoga are welcome.
