About Ebru – Between 2000 and 2015 she practiced classical Pilates and meditative Raj yoga at Brahma Kumaris in Istanbul to help deal with the stresses and strains of an early career in pathology, digital advertising, marketing and design. In 2016 she completed a 200hr intensive teacher training course in Ashtanga Vinyasa/Hatha Yoga with Lalit Kumar at the Himalaya Yoga Valley in Goa, India, and is currently building on her classical Pilates experience by taking a 2 year scientific Polestar Pilates teacher training course in Leeds with Claire Sparrow. She regularly attends short courses and seminars to add to her skill set, like Relax and Renew restorative teacher training with Judith Lasater, who did extensive study with B. K. S. Iyengar in India and the United States.

Along with an explosion of awareness of Yoga’s health benefits to a much wider Western audience came the challenge of preventing injury. By blending a scientific Polestar Pilates qualified training into Yoga and Pilates classes, she discovered the chances of injury could be minimised and health benefits maximised. Her passion is in the study of the balance between the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the human body as it relates to everyday modern lives.

She likes to motivate her students to improve flexibility, mobility, strengthen muscles, calm the mind, and generally deal with the stress of modern life. Her aim is to help her clients develop and grow in their own unique way off this solid platform. What you put in is what you get out. She believes that if we find self-discipline and spiritual awareness, we can identify and side-line whatever limits us internally and reach our full potential externally. She brings to her classes, courses, retreats and social media a positive energy that touches as many lives in a beneficial way as possible; which helps us all find a tailor made balance in modern life that works best for each of us.

About Julia

Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim. B. K. S. Iyengar.

That’s how Julia’s Yoga path started 5 years ago. After attending several classes, she quickly noticed that the yoga practice changed something inside of her. Not only physically, also mentally a process was initiated and that´s what made her curious and longing for more.

Her journey took her to India, the cradle and source of yoga were she wanted to learn more about the traditional forms of yoga. After coming back to Germany, she attended several workshops and retreats, trying out many different classes and styles from different yoga teachers in order to gain more knowledge and experience in the field. In the meantime she always kept going back to India, where she met Yogacharya Lalit Kumar from Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre. In 2016 she decided to do her Teacher training in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in Goa/India with him, and in 2017 a Power Vinyasa Teacher Training with the Power Vinyasa Yoga Academy in Germany followed.

Julia teaches on a regular basis all level classes in different Studios in Germany. Her classes are vigorous and challenging, and at the same time playful and creative. The teachings also include Mantra chanting, Pranayama (breathing techniques) and Meditation. Important for her is to pass on the traditional knowledge and to always connect to the source again.

Over the Time India became like a second home for her, the place she always returns for further education, where she dives into the vast and fascinating field of yoga tradition and knowledge. Yoga is a never ending journey, it helps you to connect with yourself and everything around you, it heals your body, mind and soul – it’s pure magic. It’s a precious gift from India to the world, which we should all be thankful for.
